KALAKAD MUNDANTHURAI TIGER CONSERVATION FOUNDATION (KMTCF)
The Kalakad Mundanthurai Tiger Conservation Foundation (KMTCF) was established on 25.03.2010 and registered under Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 1975 focusing the management of Kalakad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve for conservation of biodiversity, protection, habitat improvement, research and training, environmental education, eco development and eco tourism over an area of 895 Sq.Km notified as critical Tiger Habitats along with the 706 sq.km of notified buffer area.
As per the Deed of Trust the following are the prime objectives of the KMTCF.
Provision expenditures for anti-poaching camps are being met out from the foundation funds
Field kits are supplied to the anti-poaching watchers every year
Improvement and maintenance of rest houses
For the benefit of visiting public improvement works, approach road to tourist places, barricades
Tourist places are kept clean by engaging eco sanitary watchers
Awareness boards are erected in important places
